'When an eighty-five pound mammal licks your tears away, then tries to sit
in your lap, it's hard to feel sad.'

Large or small, a dog is a good comfort.
ReplyDeleteSuch an adorable companion!
ReplyDeleteHave lovely Tuesday.
ReplyDelete85 pounds! I was thinking about how big the dog was in the "What Comes After" book and how the man struggled to pick him up when the dog was too sick to walk. I am not a fan of dogs like yours Carol, but maybe I would be if I were in your shoes. Thank goodness you are able to pick up Ziggy! I doubt I could pick up Ellie the way Ben and Kate so easily do. I keep learning in my old age. -Dick
ReplyDeleteWe furry ones have a way of making humans feel much better. They can't be sad when we come wagging our tails to them and want to cuddle.
ReplyDeleteZiggy looks happy.
ReplyDelete85 lb mammal...OMDs that cracked me up.
ReplyDeleteNever had that but a sleeping furry of any kind can be a lap full when they are limp as a noodle
Hugs Cecilia
