That is a considerable wingspan.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful gull, love seeing the wings spread open for take off. Thank you for linking up and sharing your post. Take care, have a happy weekend!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great photo you took! Sure looks beautiful over the water! Enjoy your weekend!
ReplyDeleteThat really is a fantastic photo!!!
ReplyDeleteyes, awesome wingspan... great shot.
ReplyDeletehave a wonderful weekend
Fantastic capture!
ReplyDeleteLove the quote, the seagull is probably glad to not be cold anymore.
ReplyDeleteWow!
ReplyDeleteNice action shot of the full.
ReplyDeleteI that is a Herring Gull. It is one of the larger gulls. An adult has that red spot on it's bill.
ReplyDeleteNo link to your blog again so I cannot comment ~ Xo ~ Thanks for visiting and commenting ~
DeleteOops. I typed before looking closely at the picture. That wasn't a red place on the bill. So that makes it a ring billed gull. It just looks larger in this situation. Great picture.
ReplyDeleteExcellent shot on the take off! Live and let live is my policy
ReplyDeleteHave a nice week ahead
I love that photo. I am originally from Utah and the seagull is our state bird. The only state, I think, that is inland and has seagulls - left over from when the Great Salt Lake was an ancient sea.
ReplyDeleteHello,:=) Love your photo of the gull taking off. It really does have a large wing span.
ReplyDeleteWhat did Angel think of that visitor? That gull is bigger than she is!
ReplyDeleteSallie ~ she didn't see it but am sure she would have barked and chased it away ~ she is very protective of 'her' deck ~ Xo
DeleteGreat photo Carol! :) Just wanted to say...I've been going on hikes lately and I've seen so many painted rocks left on the trails. I never saw that where I used to live and I immediately thought of you! ♥
