A bird I don't recognize on my feeder on Cape Ann MA.

(I am a new backyard birder ~ can anyone tell me what this sweet bird is?) A finch???

    An American Goldfinch, I believe, Carol. Their color fades in the Winter months which a lot of people don't realize....:)jp

    Yes, Definitely an American Goldfinch. Watching them change into their summer plumage is one of my favorite things to do in early spring. The bright yellow is always a welcome sight telling me that summer is on its way.
