A close up shot of a cormorant on Cape Ann MA Never realized how pretty their feathers are. And, of course, the seaweed is abundant on the rocks. Sharing with Macro Monday 2 |

Double-crested cormorants are pretty birds if you really look at them especially during breeding season. When they open their mouths wide the inside is a most beautiful shade of blue.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Lisa for the info ~ always good to learn something each day ~ Happy Labor to you ^_^
DeleteSplendid quote and what a magnificent photo, well captured, an inspiring scene.
ReplyDeleteI think your Cormorants are prettier than the brownish ones I have seen here.
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful week!
They can be lovely when looked at it that certain way. We have (in Florida) anhingas which look a lot like cormorant, but have even more of those stripey feathers.
ReplyDeletewe have shags at our local lakes.
