A great set of photos but the first photo in the series is especially beautiful - in fact perfect!
ReplyDeleteWe've been having almost daily thunderstorms too, carol due t the excessive heat this summer. I am actually looking forward to winter ;) Your journal drawings are so sweet and whimsical. Have a wonderful week
ReplyDeleteWhat treasures!
ReplyDeletejust got a break from several severe thunderstorms that rolled thru the last few hours. but we really needed the rain and a bit of cooling off after record heat the last few days. Gorgeous atmospheric feel of the first two photos. Really beautiful haiku. You know I love the etigamis, and it goes without saying how I feel about sweet Zoe:) Happy week to you and yours!
ReplyDeleteI've never heard of etegami!!! Live and learn!
ReplyDeleteI love summer thunderstorms - we get a lot of them around here, but near the ocean you must see some amazing storms.
ReplyDeleteI love your stormy skies! We had dark skies tonight but no rain. Love your sweet little bird in your art too. Enjoy your week! Hugs, Diane
ReplyDeleteWhat is that critter of a different sort? It looks like a net. It was a great mother nature's moon.
ReplyDeleteThe moon is so pretty. I love your drawings and Zoe. Have a happy week.
ReplyDeleteGreat sets of photos and I like your etegami!
ReplyDeleteI don't mind summer thunderstorms simply because they don't last long. It's the days of rain I hate. Smart place you stayed in London Carol - very upmarket.
ReplyDeleteHari OM
ReplyDeleteI like you too!!! (Love that etigami)... and I love your images. Blessings for the week, YAM xx
Such a beautiful sky on Tuesday! Your haiku with the moon is so beautiful ,too. Love the building in Thursday photo. Very elegant indeed.
ReplyDeleteHave a happy new week!
Wonderful series of images.
ReplyDeleteNow I've seen a photo I know exactly where you were staying. What a pity we didn't meet up. Love the photo of the moon and its reflection.
ReplyDeleteI hope the weather at your place is just as good ads overhere. Finally some sunshine and summerwarmth.
ReplyDeleteI bet the moon looks fabulous coming up over the ocean. What a sight.
ReplyDeleteI love your postcards. Sweet. We have been having the thunder but the rain is going around us, which means, I am watering a lot. Then of course the heat is unbearable after about 10 a.m. I love those wire sculptures. There is an artist in the UK that does fairies that twirl in the wind. I want one so bad. It is on my 'if I win the lottery' list. ;)
What an exquisite photo post-thunder-storm. We get thunder storms here in southeastern Alberta but they seldom leave beauty in their wake. Plus we have to spend the whole time cuddling our dog Lindy who is terrified of thunder.
ReplyDeleteBest wishes to you and Zoe

Love the moonglow on the water...or is that the sun? Either one, the photo is simply stunning.
ReplyDeleteAnd of course, goes without saying...your sweet furbaby.
The bird "I like You" is terrific too by the way.
Cape Ann's calm-after-the-storm pic is lovely. So are your illustrations.
ReplyDeletenice shot of the moon :) and very nice etegami

ReplyDeleteI love the moon shining over Cape Ann! The haiku is so sweet too! It's cloudy here and I hope the sun can come out again!
ReplyDeletenice to see Art Muse dog out and about!
How strange we had an amazing thunder and lighting storm and downpour here too, woke me up from my slumber. The rest of the day was as though it never happened hot with clear blue skies. I like your oriental bridge.
ReplyDeleteI've never experienced an east coast thunderstorm. Your pictures show what I imagine when I read fictional scenes that take place in thunderstorms back east.
ReplyDeleteHello, I just love your art work. So pretty. Art Muse Dog is always a treat to see. Beautiful moon captures. Happy Thursday, enjoy your day!
ReplyDeletelike the moon shots and the pretty place to stay!

ReplyDeleteLove these posts, that moon... been trying to figure out what your little muse has added to the deck... please do tell! Love the words of your haiku and the gift of your etegami, as well as more snippets of your trip across the pond... have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteMoon always speaks to me. Great haiku
ReplyDeleteWonderful posts, all, as always. What is that thing Ms. A.M. Dog has added to your deck? Surely not! She looks a bit guilty. Neat place you stayed in London. It looks very elegant, but homey. Keep on with your art journal, it's looking good, especially the little birdie!
ReplyDeletewhat a beautiful place to live in..love all your photos and haiku, art and your little dog
ReplyDeleteLove your etegmai...perfect!...:)JP
ReplyDeletewow these are just wonderful, as usual. Always a pleasure!
ReplyDeleteThe military club looks very 18th century- I love buildings like that mainly because we do'nt have anything like that here in NZ because it's a relatively new country still.
ReplyDeleteI love being watched over by the moon!
ReplyDeleteWonderful selection of art. :)
ReplyDeleteLoving the harbour under the moonlight after the storm, I want to be there.....x

ReplyDeleteOh, Carol...Your etegami cards this week are wonderful. That last one is sososo sweet. I have a letter written but have yet to finish it. Have not forgotten you. My bamboo brushes and ink arrived from Amazon yesterday. WOOHOO. They are such fun. I loved all of our pictures and especially the one of the mail (How do you spell it?????) at the Tower. Was that part of Henry's. I remember it. How did those guys wear all of that hot and heavy stuff and balance on a fast horse. It is amazing.Loved seeing ArtMuse again and the moon and your haiku. You are just SOSOSO talented. Have a good week ahead and I will get my email off to you. genie
ReplyDeleteCarol your etegamis are fascinating to me; I look forward to enjoying this new and different (to me) art form here every week. I hope the weird thunderstorms are over for a while (I bet they frighten the Muse). And what a beautiful place you had to stay in London!
ReplyDeleteSweet etegami.
ReplyDeleteI always like your sketches.
I would like to try in some days.
Is the wire animal an elephant? If so I have some picture of him as well!
