ReplyDeleteWorth a Thousand Words
Nature's creations are amazingly well expressed in subtle and very impressive aspects, like the icicles, shadows, the sea wall of different stones... And the haiku is so sensitive..."life is not written in stone"!! So beautiful water color sketch... As always, lots of aspects to admire in your post!*-* Many thanks!
ReplyDeleteHave a great week ahead!
what lovely photos-and to think you get to enjoy it all everyday:) Love your Sunday sketch!! Beautiful haiku and the quote at the top-wow-I had not heard that one before-very powerful! Have a great week Carol!
ReplyDeleteI really want to get my bare feet in that sand!
ReplyDeleteI like the sand and sky and water better than the icicle, even if the latter is more artistic. And tho the giraffe kite is creative and whimsical (and I usually enjoy whimsy), I think I like my kites more traditional, as in your pretty sketch. I
ReplyDeleteSky, sea, sun, and sand - what a great combination. Have a wonderful week ahead!
ReplyDeleteI'll show that kite to my hubby...he loves giraffes! How neat! Enjoy your week! Hugs, Diane
ReplyDeleteSun and sea and sky - how very lovely!
ReplyDeleteHello Carol!
ReplyDeleteLove the giraffe kite and your drawing od the girl flying a kite--such a spring time sighting! Do you ever find sea glass along the shore there? It must be fun to beach comb after a storm. Miss the sea!
Wonderful photos!

ReplyDeleteI wish we had weather that was nice enough to get out in and see what is happening in nature. It has been pretty nasty here and the days that are nice find me busy. I enjoyed your photos and sweet drawing. Enjoy the week.

ReplyDeleteAlways a joy to visit you and your lovely photography! That kite is very unique. I love your sketch, also. Wishing you a very nice afternoon.
ReplyDeleteI like the idea that you have your cannon ready to defend your island if need be. Island dwellers have to learn to be self reliant. I see things are warming up but are still pretty cold probably. I love your kite and again I love your own art work.

Marvelous explorations, beautiful bits of nature and a lovely sketch too.
ReplyDeleteThe only thing that remains the same is the constant changes.
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean about people coming and going. I have someone who used to be my friend, but she walked away, and despite my reaching out to her several times, she says she's decided to keep her distance. Such is life!
ReplyDeleteI would love to walk on your peaceful, serene beach. Here, our sugar sand beaches are beautiful, but lined with high rise condos and tourist gear. Sigh......Love that icy waterfall too.
