A Shutterbug explores the surrounding areas of Cape Ann MA each week with her camera and her assistant. We do look for 'the magic'and sometimes it appears when we are seemingly not looking. What a gift! What treasures nature offers!

I love all the photos of the changeable skies at the seashore, Carol! Artmuse dog looks so handsome with a new fur cut!
ReplyDeleteThat sure looks like some storm brewing in the first shot!
ReplyDeleteThat sky looks threatening. I am always fascinated by those big front clouds passing by. Your dear little muse looks like she is ready for Easter now. Sweet. Your haiku is so true.
ReplyDeleteThat first sky is great - really like it.

ReplyDeleteHello Carol, your sky captures are lovely. The first sky shot is very dramatic. Your furbaby looks cute after her grooming. I love the haiku and the sketch! Have a happy new week!
ReplyDeleteHi Carol. That first sky looks so threatening. I do hope Artmusedog didn't get wet.
ReplyDeleteHello,
ReplyDeleteYour quote at the start is very thought provoking. Most of us only look for harvest each day without sowing the seeds. We want results without effort. We want gain without pain. If there are no results at the end of the day we are disappointed and we conclude that it was a bad day.On the other hand if we put in continuous efforts with a purpose in mind we are bound the reap the benefits.
Your photos are fantastic and each photo tells a story of Cape Ann.
Your haiku is very interesting. In a few words you have described the transformation that is taking place all around you.
Best wishes
Great photos and I like them all. Beautiful sky and cute critters. I like the page from your daily Artist Journal.

ReplyDeleteI love the hope that your words in this week's haiku illustrate. By your photographs, it seems like the weather is finally getting better for you. May you and Muse Dog have a blessed week, my friend!
ReplyDeleteOh, I like the little sketch … to meditate on the beach with one’s muse is a lovely dream.
ReplyDeleteI love that blanket of sky and the place where it meets with the water.
ReplyDeleteLovely first shot....I never tire of looking at sky and sea...the colours and shapes change so quickly. Little one looks really cute with her colourful neck adornment. And your Haiku is spot on as ever Carol - thank you!

Really enjoyed this post. All of it! :)
ReplyDeleteLove, love, love that page from your journal! Your haiku captures the changes, the transitions, in those amazing skies... Please tell your little muse that she looks adorable and that my Leo is smitten with her! I can imagine the two of them scampering about while Rusty imagines how he too can capture her heart... have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteWow... What a cloud cover! Stunning photos!!
ReplyDeleteLots of topics to choose from. I keep a journal when I'm home at my float cabin home on Powell Lake. I've been trying to add pencil and ink sketches to my recollections, but I'm not much of an artist. Journaling has helped my writing, maybe it will help my drawing. - Margy
ReplyDeleteSometimes transitions are annoying. Sometimes they are frightening. And sometimes they are just right. I guess we take what comes, and do the best we can!
ReplyDeleteTree, flowers budding.
ReplyDeleteMushrooms mushrooming.
