A Shutterbug explores the surrounding areas of Cape Ann MA each week with her camera and her assistant. We do look for 'the magic'and sometimes it appears when we are seemingly not looking. What a gift! What treasures nature offers!

FRIDAY ~ Haiku My Heart
Haiku for you and Sharing with Rebecca's Haiku My Heart |
My l'il critter had been for a walk and had to stay in the car afterwards while I went into the store. She was not very happy to do so. Then before I went along the street of this little village near our house to take some photographs she stuck her tongue out at me in another photo. Window is open so she is not 'panting' because she is hot. She just wants to get out. Sharing with: Camera Critters Saturday Critters |
Hey, I actually got taller! LOL ~ We made it to the beach several times this week. Here l'il 'wonder dog' is sniffing everything in sight on Cape Ann MA. Sharing with: Shadow Shot Sunday |

What a darling series of photographs! Your pup is adorable! Wonderful haiku and I love how you've combined your art with words.
ReplyDeleteI like the haiku and the idea of an “angel by my side”, although your muse seems to come close. :)
ReplyDeleteHari OM
ReplyDeleteLove all the shop fronts - lots of atmosphere! And of course the l'il one always brings a smile!!! Hugs and blessings, YAM xx
Oh my the doggie wants to go to the store too.
ReplyDeleteWorth a Thousand Words
Sky Watch Friday is definitely my favourite photo of these. Well apart from the dog, of course.
ReplyDeleteA fun series of shots - your little one is so cute!
ReplyDeleteWonderful images.
ReplyDeleteThat's an enviable series you have going, lovely photos indeed. Warm greetings!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun busy post. Your little helper is a doll. I can imagine her angst at being left behind. ha... At least she didn't howl her disapproval. Lovely photos. I could almost hear those angel wings fluttering.
ReplyDeleteHello, I just love your cute furbaby. Wonderful quote from Ansel and your sketch is wonderful. I think we should all hanve angels by our side. Pretty sky shot! Have a happy day and week ahead!

ReplyDeleteLovely pictures! I hope your eyes get better soon.
ReplyDeleteI think post offices are important!
ReplyDeleteLovely to see you again too Carol, thank you for stopping by especially if your eyes are not too good. Your Art Muse dog and my Crazy Poodle are like two peas in a pod what with sniffing everything in sight and their "What? Don't leave me looks!" Hopefully definitely the sniff of spring, can't believe we're going into autumn ourselves.
ReplyDeleteHave a happy week

Oh, yeah - I need a haircut...
ReplyDeleteI am in love with your artist journal. And that quaint post office is really neat. To say nothing of your haiku! The Ansel Adams quote resonates, too. What a super post!
ReplyDelete=)
Lovely series!
ReplyDeleteAnd: you make a wonderful handwriting, I like that :-)
Have a joy in your day
Thank you for the nice 'city' pictures. I hadn't realized that Cape Ann was a township (or the like) with you having a P.O. of Gloucester. Like our P.O. is Katy, Texas, but we live in the extraterritorial jurisdiction of Fulshear, Texas.
ReplyDeleteArt (for "Warm Hearts) gets pretty good booking this week. In Texas we would get a ticket for leaving an animal in the car alone. Heat is a big problem here. Does Art have a real name? So far as I can remember you always call her "l'il critter" or little "wonder dog" or the like. Doesn't start with a capital letter either. She is ready for Spring or is her nose playing tricks?
..
An enjoyable trip to your town, I think your pooch is just waiting to get behind the wheel.
ReplyDeleteLove that little post office for the letter G!
ReplyDeletesheer madness, that's so funny, love it :-)
ReplyDeleteSuch a pretty place you live in. Your art journal is lovely!
ReplyDeleteCape Ann seems like a lovely place to live. Does it have a creative "feel" about it? I love going to a town on our south coast hat covers me in that feeling every time I visit. Have a lovely weekend ahead and thank you so much for stopping by my blog this week.
ReplyDeleteI so enjoyed visiting with you this week and seeing your pretty part of Cape Cod.
ReplyDeleteI just adore that photo of your sweet little dog at the wheel and tongue sticking out!
Have a happy weekend!
"Magnolia Station". Don't you just love a name like that which can conjour up some wonderful images in the mind.
ReplyDeleteTake care Carol, especially with those learner drivers on the roads.
Art Muse Dog is SO cute!!
ReplyDeleteLove that car pic.
~
Nice little fence outside the dog grooming place. There is a house here in town that has that same pattern. - I like the name of the place where you (get groomed). Your dog is so cute, I do think she's sensing that spring is in the air.
ReplyDeleteA very pretty series of photos!
ReplyDeleteThat is a great looking fence.
Happy Thursday!
Lea
Carol, your haiku is very beautiful - thank you!
ReplyDeleteLovely photos of little one.....probably just as well we don't have their acute sense of smell!
Enjoy your week,
Ruby
I bet you enjoy your " grooming sessions" a whole lot more than the little boss does hers
ReplyDeleteGreat that you've been able to hit the beach a few times already...I imagine it is a special bonus to enjoy it before the dreaded tourists get there (at least that's how I would feel if I lived there).!
Your week is filled and a busy lifestyle. But, I had to stop and take a 'double take' on the Saturday Critters...the car seat. Priceless.
ReplyDeletei do like the railing design at the shop. cute little spoiled pup. :)
