'I go to nature to be soothed and healed
and have my senses put in order.' ~ John Burroughs
November 24 ~
Will return next week ~ Still in 'recovery mode'. Joyful blessings to all. xox |
A Shutterbug is exploring Cape Ann MA each week with her camera and her assistant as always. We do look for 'the magic' and sometimes it appears when we are seemingly not looking.
What a gift. What treasures nature offers to each of us.
We start our 'blogland' week on late Monday afternoon for Tuesday and then add a post each day. Hope you will make a return visit and share with us.

Warm Heart Wednesday is about Jenny's link for what 'warms our heart' ~ What warmed my heart this week was simple pleasures of walking with my doggie, signing up for an art/photo show, sunshine after 2 dreary cold days. Reading blogs that acknowledged the people of Paris and praying for peace for them. Waking up feeling good most days. Sharing with: Warm Heart Wednesday |

We are wishing you peace in each day. xox
Your posted comments add delight to our blog. thanks. ^_^
I especially like the first photo which strongly contrasts both shape and texture. I really admire the attention to detail in your photos.
ReplyDeleteOh, yes! Winter is on its way here in Oregon, too!! Hope you and Artmuse stay warm and dry!!
ReplyDeleteVery pretty! For a few seconds I wondered if you had snow in that first photo (we're supposed to get 10 to 20 inches tonight). Have a wonderful week!
ReplyDeleteI like the first one best. It makes it seem so cold.
ReplyDeleteWonderful set of images.
ReplyDeleteI like the lighter # 1 B&W photo, Carol, and the color photo best! We are getting snow tonight--winter has arrived in my area :)
ReplyDeleteFabulous shots - love that first one.
ReplyDeleteIt is hard to believe the trees survive in what appears to be a stark environment. If this is the impression you wanted to create then the first photo does it for me.
ReplyDeletethey are all lovely. The second one is very atmospheric but I do prefer the first one. And I always love a photo showing sand and water-even if it is in winter:) Happy week to you and Zoe!
ReplyDeleteHi! I like the second B & W photo very much. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteAll three photos are great !
ReplyDeleteI like the last one, because the brown-color-shadows are so impressive !
Greetings from Germany
Jutta
Very impressive...
ReplyDeleteGreat shutterbug shots!
ReplyDeleteOf the black and white versions I like the second one. But I like the colour one best. - Margy
ReplyDeleteLovely pics.
ReplyDeletewonderful results of what one can do with a camera, i like the first one most

Hello, beautiful scene and I like the bare trees and beach. I like the original and the 2nd image. Great post. Enjoy your week!
ReplyDeleteI like that you find the Magic in all of your Shots.
ReplyDeletefine photos
ReplyDeleteROG, ABCW
I love the black and white photos!
ReplyDeleteStunning pictures
ReplyDeleteI really like the first image. It has a 'naked' quality to it that the original colour version doesn't. It makes me think of winter and solitude.
ReplyDeleteI like the first one because it reveals the trees structure. I like the intricate shapes of winter trees. Of course I'm a beach lover any season so I like the last one too.
ReplyDeleteLove the stark beach image. Glad to see you joined Jenny. Of course, you have an adorable little heart-warmer.
ReplyDeleteI liked one the best, but I think two probably represents the beginning of winter better...kind of cold and dreary looking. Of course, my dog warms my heart too. My prayers are for peace too.
ReplyDeleteHi Carol, this is a nice post. You do really have warming things in your life. I am glad for you. And for Art, she is a cute dog and you framed her very nicely.
ReplyDeleteMy pick is picture #1, straight out of the camera. They sure are bare. Our will have leave for a few more weeks, it will get down to the upper forty's a couple of times this week and next.
..
what a lovely photo, the beach looks quite isolated, nice to have the place to yourself :-)
ReplyDeleteWonderful Pictures and isn't wondeful to enjoy the simple things life has to offer. Oh, and cute dog!
ReplyDeleteI like the first photo -- and of the two you asked about, the first b&w one! Mostly I like ArtMuse Dog because she always warms everyone's heart!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful sky and I love your cute pup! The haiku is pretty. Happy Skywatching, enjoy your weekend!
ReplyDeletehoping you are feeling better. love the stone wall and lovely entrance, too.
ReplyDeleteYou truly entertained us today with these great sights.
ReplyDeleteThe last three photos are awesome. The color shot for “starkness” is my favorite. The sky in your first picture is a stunning one. That was a beautiful night.
ReplyDeleteOh goodness, so many beautiful shares. You are not complete without your favorite furry friend! Such a sweetheart too. Good to set our minds on something warm hearted. Have a beautiful weekend and always a pleasure to stop and say hello.
ReplyDeleteGreat shots.
ReplyDeleteWorth a Thousand Words
You've captured a lovely sky in that first photo.
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed your Haiku - I love crows and watching them.
The gate is so neat with the crow motif on it.
Your dog is adorable.
I liked the BW seawall shot. I think the 2nd one has a bit more "drama" to it.
You are a little ahead in the winter thing than we are.
ReplyDeleteGreat sky.
ReplyDeleteI came for the fences, but got so much more...I sure enjoyed the ones after the fence shot. Oh, and I liked the fence, too.
ReplyDeleteCame from SWF, Carol.
ReplyDeleteWonderful dramatic sky. I like your other shots too.

I love the "wild sky" shot!! Have a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteLove the stone pillars at the gate entrance as well as the stone defence stone wall at the beach.
ReplyDeleteGreetings and Salutations from Illinois. Your posted barren shots are beautiful.
ReplyDeleteJM, IL
I went back and forth between #1 and #2 and settled on 2, the contrast just drew me in. Love your haiku, it too, took me to the skies and that vantage point of seeing the world from a different view... thank you Carol, for taking us along on your week of looking at the world around you!
ReplyDeleteI come for the haiku and always find much more as well.
ReplyDeleteYour tree, crow and haiku stir beautiful thoughts. x
ReplyDeleteWonderful photos! Your bottom two, I like them both. The second is very dramatic.
ReplyDeleteThe View from the Top of the Ladder

ReplyDeleteexcellent.
ReplyDeletehappy Saturday.
ReplyDeleteAs always, your photographs are beautiful. Lovely haiku there, and in B/W images, I loved first one. Hope you are feeling better. Sending healing your way.
ReplyDeleteI like the "S" photo for stark. Would like to be on that beach. Alone and peaceful.
ReplyDeleteI like the shadows on the marsh and the light is very pretty. I also like the dramatic black and white shot as the drama makes the stones and trees better defined.
ReplyDeleteA wonderful way to spend the week! Love your fallish shadows!
ReplyDeleteThe cloudy skies over the cape are pretty incredible!
ReplyDeleteCarol. So many of the things you wrote of warm my heart, too! Thank you for linking! XO
ReplyDeleteNice snaps, Carol - particularly the photo of the barren trees.

ReplyDeleteYou have the cutest dog ever. Although my kids just got a golden doodle that's pretty cute too!
ReplyDeleteThe crow has a better view than us.
ReplyDeleteI have learned that I need to get to that 'vantage point' to see my world from a better perspective much like the 'crow' ~ thanks for your comments.
DeleteHope your recovery is speedy.
ReplyDeleteHave a happy week
Wren x
Happy Thanksgiving, Carol and Art Muse Dog!

My sweet animal children warm my heart every day! Are you coming south for the winter?
ReplyDeleteJudie ~ no plans ~ no place to go South ~ so am staying put at the moment ~ xox
