'Everybody is a genius. But if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believeing that it is stupid.

ReplyDeleteI know what it is to have one's heart spread around the world! Beautiful shots - particularly 'patootie'!!! YAM xx
I hate the thought of sea turtles dying. I know this is a fact but it still makes me sad. I do all I can for nature. If everyone did it would be a better world for us all. Love your photos, especially of your cutie patootie.
ReplyDeleteThe tree branches make a great black and white shot - strong, and full of texture.
ReplyDeleteLovely black and white shots.. HI to "Cutie Patootie" too.
ReplyDeleteGlad you had a good time in Georgia! But I'm sure it's also great to be back home.
ReplyDeleteCame from B&W meme, thanks for dropping by, Carol.
ReplyDeleteYour dog is so cute. Enjoying your other shots.
your haiku was so good...I felt the zing in the last line....
ReplyDeleteDo not blame you one bit for leaving a piece of your heart there. A beautiful place. That's the thing about travel! (The joy and the regret are often the same thing.)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful b&w image!
ReplyDeleteLove the black and white bridge shot! And I always enjoy photos of your cute dog.
ReplyDeleteSo many beautiful scenes! I had a chuckle at the fisherman sitting in the chair by the water - I guess fishermen are the same all over the world! The trees over the sand are all very beautiful and the sunset is perfect. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteIt is sad to hear that the sea turtles are having problems too. I love the gorgeous beach shots, sky captures and your Cutie Patootie. Enjoy your day and the new week ahead!
ReplyDeleteSuch a beautiful place and I always love to see your precious little friend!! He does have fun, too, doesn't he!! Thanks as always for sharing!! Hope you have a great new week!!
ReplyDeleteI love beaches! We have no horseshoe crabs here, nor do we have such turtles. But this information is very interesting. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteI Wish you a great week!

What great pictures of the beach. So sad that the turtle is declining in number
ReplyDelete.
Oh Carol , I can understand how your heart is torn between GA and MA-both shores are filled with beauty-and the sea! Beautiful photos. We found a sea turtle washed up on the shore the other year at the Delaware beach and it was SO sad. It was all caught up in a fisherman's net...have also seen our fair share of washed up horseshoe crabs too.
ReplyDeleteThat looks like a perfect beach. I'd love to explore that part of Georgia.
ReplyDeleteLovely shots. Love them all but my fave is the boardwalk.
ReplyDeleteWorth a Thousand Words
Lovely photos - please come link up http://image-in-ing.blogspot.com/2015/06/nesting.html
ReplyDeleteSad for the sea turtles. :(
ReplyDeleteA lovely series! Beautiful sunset and a very cute patootie indeed!
ReplyDeleteVery nice and beautiful pictures here!
ReplyDeleteIn Lanzarote I was so upset to see a man preparing 2 Sea Turtles to eat. Such beautiful and endangered creatures.
ReplyDeleteHi! I like your B & W wednesday photo very much. Your Haiku is very cool. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely golden sunset!
ReplyDeleteLove the view of your b&w boardwalk!
ReplyDeleteSo beautiful Carol, I love the boardwalk/bridge image… it evokes the mystery of being on a path with faith, not knowing where it will lead, but continuing onward nonetheless.
ReplyDeleteGoodness, sweet puppy, and what pretty views!
ReplyDeleteLovely B&W shots
ReplyDeleteI like #1 the best. Tom The Backroads Traveller
ReplyDeleteYour Cutie Patootie is just that! I think my Sadie girl would love having a playdate with this cutie.
ReplyDeleteAw...cutie patootie is really a sweetheart! Love your photo shares and your choice for the letter C. Thank you and enjoy your week.
ReplyDeleteA lovely place to be. I do like the view down the board walk. You must enjoy being lucky enough to capture a place like this.
ReplyDeleteI knew when I saw "Cutie Patootie" on AlphabeThursday that it would be a cute pic of the ever adorable ArtMuse Dog! I see she's giving somebody a raspberry!
ReplyDeleteSo many amazing pictures today. I particularly like the board walk, and the sunset, and the... well, they are all great.
ReplyDeleteSure is a cutie patootie. (Did I spell that correctly?) I was surprised to see how close the trees were to the shoreline. I don't see that here.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely beautiful pictures !!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful scenes!
ReplyDeleteThe surf fishing looks so relaxing! I hate to hear about the decline of the sea turtles. Their reproduction rates are very low so it will take a very long time (if ever) for the population to come back.
ReplyDeleteLove the shots your captured. Especially the one of your little dog.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pictures but my favorite is 'Cutie Patootie' !
ReplyDeleteI must remind myself to be realistically clever.
ReplyDeletelove the b&w and trees.
ReplyDeleteLove the fish quote, so true :) Gorgeous summer approaching photos, topped of course by cutie Art Muse Dog, missing my crazy poodle! Enjoy your weekend
ReplyDeleteWren x
Great series as always...love your cutie patootie♪ http://lauriekazmierczak.com/garden-delights/
ReplyDeleteHello Carol, for so many years... I thought I was a fish living in a tree... it is a great quote and I'm trying to put it together with your haiku. I so want things to stay the same, to flourish to grow, I sometimes have a hard time with evolution, and wonder what this kind of change means and what I can do to be a part of nature, rather than that fish told to climb a tree... pats to your cutie patootie!
ReplyDeleteLiving or dying, whether at the seashore or in the desert sands---it's all a part of life!
ReplyDeletefishing! my favourite past time - and your dog, I have to keep saying this, is SO cute :-)
ReplyDeleteWonderful photos, Carol. Love that photo of Cutie Patoodie. Why is it that we think cats and dogs look cute with their tongue stuck out, as if in thought, but not humans. LOL
ReplyDeleteThe View from the Top of the Ladder
I too like to see the way nature transforms itself---sometimes right before my eyes!
ReplyDeleteThanks for these lovely photos making my visit here so enjoyable.
ReplyDeleteLooked as if you had a great time on the barrier islands and looks as if art muse dog also was really enjoying himself.
ReplyDeleteGreat captures! Lovely scenery, but the favorite is your dog, looks so cute :)
ReplyDeleteLove the black and white photo! And your cutie patootie is incredibly charming!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing your mad camera skills for the letter C!
