A wondèrful post Carol. Those haiku are piece by piece little gems. Thank you for sharing.
ReplyDeleteCarol, lovely scenes and skies from Cape Ann. It is a beautiful place, definitely worth slowing down to enjoy! Love your cute ArtMuse doggie. Beautiful images, have a happy weekend!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful captures for the day, Carol, and I always love seeing your little four-legged friend!! Hope you both have a great weekend!!!
ReplyDeleteThose are some great shots of the area. I enjoyed the short history lesson on the plaque.

Deleteyour pup is the sweetest gems
ReplyDeletedelightful haiku
Cool.
ReplyDeleteA lovely post Carol. AMD cute as always!
ReplyDeleteI love your interpretation of windstorm...in the sky...galaxy. Am getting a puppy early November. Your little one gets me so excited. Mine is a Havanese. Too bad we aren't close enough for puppy playdates.
ReplyDeleteI always give thanks for the peace after a storm.
ReplyDeleteAfter the Windstorm
Enjoyed your post very much, all lovely photos. Thanks Carol!
ReplyDeletenice post. i really liked the first one, since it told me so much about your place.
ReplyDeleteThe star has to be your muse - just like my Lola!
ReplyDeleteAlways a joy to stop by your blog!
Superb shots!
Wow ! I just imagine the emigrants traveling across the sea from Dorchester to America ! What a journey ! I only hope they had such a blue sky during the 6 or 8 months on a ship !
ReplyDeleteWonderful, how you select a shot for each theme! Great presentation.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful shots and words. I love the way you caught the gull raising its wings.
ReplyDeleteWonderful series. Though the shot of your dog is very cute, the photo of the beach of Cape Ann MA is my favourite.
ReplyDeleteAs long as your spirit isn't swirling through the sky, all will be well!
ReplyDeleteHowling Autumn Wind
What amazing pictures! I love the seaweed!
ReplyDeleteWonderful set of choices.
ReplyDeletePowerful imagery, Carol. Beautifully done!
ReplyDeleteSo beautiful and I love your thoughtful haiku as always. My favorite picture (not counting wonderful Art Muse Dog) is the one with the sky reflecting on the sand...but all your pictures are wonderful.
ReplyDeletePup is just so adorable! Great captures today.
ReplyDeletelaughing at your little innocent pup. :)
ReplyDeleteOh wonderful post...cute doggy...Michelle
ReplyDeleteI often wonder what would have been going through the minds of people as they came to places like this for the first time!
ReplyDeleteI wonder of anybody really does have a sense of possible history.

A beautiful sky shot! I like the composition.
ReplyDeleteI really like the seaweed shot.
Beautiful! That first shot is just so peaceful and lovely I want to be there!
ReplyDeleteThanks for your nice words about my rudbeckia reflection photo. :-)
Love the spread wings! Can imagine that your doggie keeps you entertained;)
ReplyDeleteCape Ann looks like a wonderful place! Nice shots!
ReplyDeleteI love your photos, but the last one is just outstanding! Have a great weekend..
ReplyDeleteLittle cute face I love it
ReplyDeleteWhat a fine collection this week. Never been to Cape Ann but it is on my Bucket List. Loved the seagull, and that baby of yours...well, that is the cutest shot ever. What an endearing face. genie
ReplyDeleteI don't believe that bundle of mischief did nothing. Looks guilty as hell if you ask me. Like the history on a signpost picture.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my blog. Your photos are fantastic. I have roots from New England but I image that if everyone searched, a large percentage of American trees would lead to New England. That seaweed does not look anything like the seaweed that I have seen on the west coast of Oregon.
ReplyDeleteRuth
Looks like perfect weather! And OF COURSE Art Muse Dog didn't do anything. ;))
ReplyDeleteYour pup is soooooooo cute :)
ReplyDeletedas Hüdnchen.. immer wirkt es so freundlich..so richtig zum liebhaben
ReplyDeleteLG zum Wochenende vom katerchen
Your seaweed, at least, is GREEN....not ours here...stinky and a putrid slimy brown. LOLOLOL
ReplyDeleteLOVED the Camera Critter photo best of all. How precious.

ReplyDeleteHow lovely - and what a sweet dog you have too.
ReplyDeletewonderful place... beautiful shots...
ReplyDeleteIt's interesting how seaweed so often looks like something else...wool,grass,carpet,a strange sea creature!
ReplyDeleteAnd your little dog is happily doing what dogs do.....
Happy Sunday,
Ruby
And happiness grows as we experience more.
