Watercolor Sketch in Progress
It's Sunday again. Can you believe how fast time flies! A blip! The painting above is for Sunday Sketches and actually began as a 'warm up' with charcoals in art class. Then I just decided to 'play' with the watercolors at home and this is as far as I have gotten.
Today we are linking with a sketch blog, poetry blog and photography blogs. Here is the poetry:

ReplyDeleteBeggar and Buddha
We're on the same wavelength today - I was drawing with charcoal and watercolors this morning too - scary, huh?!

ReplyDeleteGreat shadow shot for the day, Carol!! Hope you're enjoying a great weekend!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing these as always!
ReplyDeleteThe buddha within needs to be loved! We need to keep regular connection with that sacred place! And love the warm, shadowy blinds in the last photo!
ReplyDeleteI love the haiku, and the graphic it's displayed on. That grackle is nice too! The blue of the sky is stunning.

ReplyDeletei absolutely agree with your haiku... true salvation can be found only within ourselves .... and that watercolor sketch is so cute ^^
ReplyDeleteThe charcoal and watercolor 'work in progress' is delightful - the pastel colors draw us in, and we almost can picture the missing faces. Art need not be stuffy! Grackles can be kinda obnoxious, but their iridescent black plumage si beautiful - and they do eat mosquitos, so I'll forget the attitude...cool low light lamp shadow!
ReplyDeleteInteresting shadow, that. I like the geometry of the triangle superimposed on the straight lines.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful haiku!
ReplyDeletethank you for creating this beautiful post today,
