Grackles love the Sumac ~ for Rurality Blog
Blizzard of 2013 ~ for B and W Wednesday
Sun is out again today and things are looking up for Cape Ann MA. We will even be able to get out for a longer walk later today. The light has changed and there is slight feeling of another season to come soon. Reality of New England helps to remind me that 'change' is what we live with each moment. Though, I try my best to 'live in the now', prepare and be discipline yet spontaneous as well. When I 'let it be', life flows. When I try to 'control too much', the universe has its chuckle and lets me know just how little control any of us have. What are you trying to control today?
We are sharing today with these creative bloggers:

Wishing you the best in each day.

Terrific! It's always about the hair isn't it? !!
ReplyDeleteYour hair is perfect
ReplyDeleteIn all human vanity
The world's a mess
JzB
The grackles look green in their iridescence - thot they were parrots! great photos - I was getting my feet soaked at Stage Fort today too...
ReplyDeleteAnd no, your hair looks fine...
Loving these lovely pictures :)
ReplyDeleteI am a control freak as well! I try to control everything. Nature has a great way of bringing me back down to Earth :)
ReplyDeleteis my hair a mess?
ReplyDeletehahaha love that last line ^^
Your photos really depict how cold it is there. Hope you enjoyed the walk. :)
ReplyDeleteArt Muse has to be careful not to get lost in all the snow!! My hair is never in place - I would have trouble with being vain. Love your haiku.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pictures ! but still snow ! I am so longing for spring :) !
ReplyDeleteI don't think I am going to control a lot today. But I must do some springcleaning. This afternoon I get a student who had problems with English grammar and therefore hated English. That was before December, now she loves it because we read a lot and while reading we try to find the grammatical facts. She can relate the story we read in English and we do have an English conversation afterwards. She is getting high marks now and feels more comfortable. That is what I am going to prepare this morning.
ReplyDeleteHair is first thing we look at as we met someone else ... so yeah the hair has to be good. We all have some vanity in us. What a nice haiku Carol.
ReplyDeleteActually, my hair is a mess. I forgot to take a peak this morning when I got up from a sound sleep with DS's slight panic of something gone awire with his computer. As it turned out a funky virus buried itself into his system and I am now in the process of debugging it with the help of Norton. lol
ReplyDeleteNow for your photos...I just love the last one! I know you guys really got quite a bit of white stuff. I bet it was a beautiful scene, but I know the winters are so long for you northeasterner. It'll be nice when spring arrives. Thanks for visiting!
I love that first picture!
ReplyDeleteSuch beautiful pictures, you certainly live in a beautiful part of the world.
ReplyDeleteWishing we got a bit of that snow here in Maryland! Crossing my fingers for a little bit tonight or this weekend before spring arrives!
ReplyDeletebrrr. :) glad the birds are still finding some seeds.
ReplyDeletebeautiful pictures...i am trying to control my urge to just be lazy and go do my workout...then time to control the laundry!
ReplyDeleteVery smart... and wonderful pictures too. I like that very much. :-)
ReplyDeleteLove the black and white, the colors, the haiku - everything! Between you and this other photo blog I follow, I'm compelled to include more poetry in my posts. Last weekend I went hiking and a haiku just came to me. I couldn't write it down so I "texted" myself on my phone. I'm going to publish it tomorrow. Thank you for the inspiration! :)
ReplyDeleteI love the snow picture, partly because we never get snow here and partly because it's black and white! Just lovely. Good luck in the contest!
ReplyDeleteVery nice pictures, and for the vain always claim a bad hair day.
ReplyDeleteThe first shot depicts a very cold wintery day. :)
ReplyDeleteThe sunlight and shadows in the last shot are lovely! Love when the sun sparkles on the snow.
Your haiku made me smile!
I love the photo of the harbor. Cape Ann scenery is always lovely!
ReplyDeleteLove the black and white photo, and art muse dog looks so cute. Love the quotations and poetry, helps to calm a ruffled spirit.
ReplyDeleteGlad the storm blew by and life will be back to normal soon. Lovely scene in the harbor~

ReplyDeleteVisiting from the B&W Wednesday Challange ... lovely images!
ReplyDeleteI especially like your first one of the harbor, and the b/w image ... yes, I love the snow ... always have, always will! Just can't ever seem to get enough! Maybe I should move to New England, Minnesota, or Michigan ....... :)
Wonderful series of images... lovely wintry harbor scene... glad all will be returning to normal soon... as to hair, well, I won't go there! Thank you for joining in 'Rurality Blog Hop #2' Hope to see you next Wednesday for #3...
