Time for Paint Party Friday ~ Pen and Ink w/wc and Brush Ink
Welcome to our Friday post with creations of art, photos and haiku (poetry). Most of my photography will be from Cape Ann MA where I live now. It is winter here and today was a single digit morning. Used to ski, downhill and cross country and thinking maybe snow shoes to aid in accepting winter months. For now, though, ArtMuse Dog and I will just walk and see what photography we can create for this blog; plus stay warm.

Redheads ~ Back to drawing them. I come from a family of Redheads ~ hence my intrique.

My stepdaughter is a redhead! I've also had two former BFFs that were redheads. I've never met one that didn't have a dynamic personality. Love the art, poetry, and the quote.
ReplyDeletenever to return... lovely haiku! and beautiful drawings too ^^
ReplyDeleteWell, sometimes the past returns but in different forms, same as birds.
ReplyDelete:)
Love the post, you do them so well.
ReplyDeleteYour paintings are always so refreshing :-)
ReplyDeleteI think I was a redhead in a past life--
ReplyDeleteLove the photo of the gate!
And your picture on Google + is gorgeous, too!
Lovely haiku and photo captures ... you and Art Muse Dog did well. Hopefully Art Muse has a warm snugly sweater or jacket!! She is such a wee thing and must shiver easily! :) Happy New Year!
ReplyDeleteYesterday
There are redheads in my family too. I love your haiku. I also write haiku occasionally and post it on my Artsy Endeavors blog. I invite you to stop by sometime. http://artsyendeavors.blogspot.com/

Carol, Happy New Year! Looks like you are off to a great start. I love the redheads! My gdaughter is a redhead and I often make my painted ladies have red hair. Your haiku and your photos are great. Single digits! Wow! That's cold.
ReplyDeleteThat photo of the water just has cold written all over it. Then the 'redhead' drawings are ablaze with warmth. Great contrast this week.
ReplyDelete{{ we travel into the new year

Lovely post. Hope you have a great weekend :)
ReplyDeleteMy first wife was a redhead, and embodied all the cliches and stereotypes.
ReplyDeleteThe good was great; the bad was horror beyond imagination.
Love your haiku.
I've always struggled with the "everything is beautiful" concept.
There is too much real ugliness and evil in the world for me to accept that notion.
Cheers!

fabulous sea smoke pic! Yes, yesterday's do seem to 'flit by' too quickly, but the key is to enjoy each moment....
ReplyDeleteYour blog is always so full, colourful and rich - real delight, and very soft touch on your haiku there...with time flying, drifting by. Appreciate your graceful comments very much.
ReplyDeleteYes time flies. If only we could enjoy each and every moment before it's gone. I have many redheads in my family as well...FUN!
ReplyDeleteHello dear Carol! What a beautiful haiku this is... poignant and true, and how happy I am to have this precious moment with you, now. I too come from a line of redheads... Have a beautiful first weekend of the new year!
ReplyDeleteSmashing post and of course as usual I love it all.....Happy PPF, Annette x.
ReplyDelete"Time flits by like a winged bird"...so beautiful, so true, already! Enjoy your precious moments!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful post, as always. It is so lovely to share your Cape !!
ReplyDeleteYou are packing a lot of beauty into these Friday posts. I love your Redheads, in fact, I prefer all my mermaids be red haired.
ReplyDeleteWinter. Snowshoes, you say? Did you know I make snowshoes? I do. If you'd like to see them and hear more about them, let me know. They are each one-of-a-kind and heirloom quality.
Now that I have shamelessly tried to solicit business, I will go on to say your Haiku is also a bright spot on this page today.
Peace
Love your pretty art - and your haiku is great!
ReplyDeleteI love your redheads and the photo of the gate! So creative and beautiful.

I like your drawings of redheads. Beautiful shots. The black and white is charming. Also I like your poetry.
ReplyDeleteMollie says hi to Art Muse Dog, and so does my new grand-dog puppy Pippin. I just got home from playing with her. I loved your haiku and the photos are beautiful, but I could feel your chill in my bones. I'm not so good with cold weather. Happy new year.
ReplyDeleteHi. Your drawing photo is very cool. I also like your Haiku.
ReplyDeleteWishing you a Happy New Year.
Like your drawings of the redhead. Lovely
ReplyDeleteHi Carol, i am finally here after a long deciphering how to do that from G+, haha! Your arts and photos depicts all cold and melancholy, that smoke on the see even with the bright light conveys real cold and it transcends to me here in our hot clime. Let me keep you warm with my tropical colors in my two blogs! keep warm and regards.
ReplyDeleteThat's a lovely gateway, the monochrome really enhances the texture.
ReplyDeleteHi Carol Happy New Year. Great drawings and photos. Love your Haiku.:) enjoy and take care.
ReplyDeleteSo chilly - you and art muse dog need to stay inside and paint :) Nice works. Happy PPF

Carol...Love your drawings....they are such sweet artwork. I am always sketching. It brings me such pleasure. Your Maine shot is a reminder to my husband of his 3 past summers hiking the mountains of Maine and New Hampshire....and he is going back again this year. He ADORES your state. Happy New Year and here's wishing you lots of days of picture taking in 2013. genie
