Sunday Sketches and Post Cards from Paradise

Wild and Wooly

Welcome to our blog where we view life from the eyes of an artist's soul and explore how creativity enhances the inner spirit.

Today we are exploring artists' sketches and photographers pics of what they feel is a bit of paradise. These are another two of my favorite blogs. The above photo is of a 'pull it out' sketch, meaning paint the color wet on wet on watercolor paper. Then 'pull out what you see as images in the painting. I used real 'junk paper' and next time will use better paper. This was my first experiment with this approach. I also did several other sketches getting ready for a blog link up this week.

Fishy, Fishy (strictly free play painting)

Okay, you get the idea ~ nothing serious in sketching today ~ I was just playing with my paint box ~ a little bit of Paradise.
We are linked today with Sunday Sketches and Post Cards from Paradise. The two paintings above are for SS and the photo below is for PCP ~ (click on the link to see the wonderful artists and photographers)  The photo was taken on Memorial Day when I was on the local beach exploring with my ArtMuse Dog and my camera. Our boulevard is decorated with American flags and is a magnificent experience to see go up every Memorial Day and there for the summer. It is a wonderful place to live. Beautiful.

Hope you enjoy the artists and photographers and all their beautiful creations.

Wishing you the best for each day.

  19. the painting looks like you were having fun, and I love the pull out technique with watercolours and use it all the time, but you need good paper.. and the shore line of where you live looks pretty amazing... spectacular... I can see you and art muse dog strolling along there...xx
