VALENTINE TEA AND POETRY PARTY A CREATIVE HARBOR SWEET SATURDAYS and HAIKU HEIGHTS Welcome to our blog where we see life through the 'eyes of an artist's soul' and explore how creativity can enhance the inner spirit. Today's post is about a Valentine Tea and Poetry Party and Haiku (Japanese short poems). We are linked with: Sweet Saturdays and Haiku Heights. (click on the links to go there) The above photo is filled with the delicious sweets that were available at the Valentine Tea and Poetry Party. There were fresh delicious strawberries to be dipped in chocolate fondue, red velvet cupcakes, decorated chocolate cupcakes and more goodies. Along with all this wonderful food, we read and heard poems written by all ages. A delightful time was had by all ~ Sweet. The next part of my post is for Haiku Heights and the word 'prompt' was spring. Below are the haiku I have written. haiku I seasons come and go ever changing like the tides stand fast, focus now. II days are longer now pregnant possibility blooming spring flowers. III spring dreams bursting out blossoming flowers, fresh life dawning light aglow. Hugs and namaste, and We love to have you post your comments, thoughts or questions (we can reply directly on this blog) to delight us all in the day. (especially ArtMuse Dog) QUOTE FOR THE DAY: 'When we truly care for ourselves, it becomes possible to care far more profoundly about other people. The more alert and sensitive we are to our own needs, the more loving and generous we can be toward others.' (Eda LeShan) |
