Your Cape Ann girl is adorable - perhaps not real...but feeling very real with a winsome personality given by the wry smile...the shadow is amazing as it is obviously not flowers, but perhaps a shadowy photo artist instead?
ReplyDeleteAwesome! I especially love the trees, and the hollowed tree, in particular!
ReplyDeleteHang on to your four-legged friend, I just had to put mine down as a result of the attack of a neighbors dog. Guess you missed the message on my post.

OOh, I love the shadow knows and that magnificent tree that seems to be tickling the sky.
ReplyDeleteLove your sketch! She has a bit of whimsy about her I like.
ReplyDeleteBean stalk tree is exactly how that perspective makes the tree look.
I see a sleeping face in the hollow of the tree - very cool.
OH, those daffodils brighten up anyone's day. But that tree with the hollow-tres cool (and of course, curiosity is getting the best of me wondering HOW it got there).

ReplyDeleteSuch lovely daffodils. Ours have been gone for quite awhile now. Their visit is way too short! Nice haiku - I'm working with haikus at school with my students. Love what they come up with!! Usually very thoughtful!
ReplyDeleteYour sketch is OH so cute! I LOVE the little guitar and LOVE the flowers of the daffodils. :)
ReplyDeleteAdore the daffodils and the cute little Cape Ann character...she has a definite personality! All the pics are great as always, but the one that amazes me is the tree hollow. I love looking at hollows and have tried and tried to get a good picture (there are many around where we stay in Oregon and a few here in Florida), but mine never turn out interesting like that!
ReplyDeleteGreat photos! I love daffodils - wish they would last longer.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by and nice comment.
Have a great week.
trees will always try to repair themselves (thus the bark growing around) the tree must have been bumped by something to cause that (my brother is an arborist - he tell me all these interesting tidbits)
ReplyDeleteLovely post and haiku, Carol! The daffodils are one of my favorite spring plants. They are so Cheery! Have a happy week!

Hello...I love the "Tao of Pooh" and all things Pooh actually.. I love your drawning and haiku.. Yes I see the face in the tree and I also see a creature with a long nose of some kind. I think tree trunks and bark have so much interest in them. Wonderful post for this week's Nature Notes.. thank you for linking in..Michelle
